Sam Jewison's acclaimed interpretation of the Great American Songbook honours the leading lights of the Broadway stage, Hollywood screen and Harlem jazz clubs, featuring songs such as, “Night and Day”, “Cheek to Cheek” and “Strike Up the Band”, as well as Gershwin’s masterpiece, “Rhapsody in Blue”. Jewison is accompanied by his dazzling 13-piece orchestra, including some of the UK’s finest musicians.

Sam Jewison casts his acclaimed interpretation of the Great American Songbook over the music of one its finest composers. The singer and pianist explores the sprawling songbook of Cole Porter, whose songwriting genius continues to inspire new generations of artists a century later.
Jewison is joined by Fraser Smith (tenor saxophone), Harry Sankey (guitar), Harry Evans (double bass) and Joe Dessauer (drums).

SAM JEWISON SINGS GERSHWIN
Following his sold-out London Jazz Festival show, Sam Jewison returns to Crazy Coqs to celebrate the 125th birthday of George Gershwin. From popular song writing on Tin Pan Alley, to the penning of classic Broadway musicals and ground-breaking compositions for the concert hall, Gershwin’s creative genius knew no bounds. Expect to hear his best-loved songs, including I Got Rhythm, 'S Wonderful and Love Is Here to Stay, as well as dazzling transcriptions of his Three Preludes and An American in Paris.
